Save Me! Poem by mackenzie rogers

Save Me!

I cry out in pain, hoping for someone to come
'save me! ' i yell...but no one comes
why won't anyone help me?
they see i am hurt, they see i am in need of assistance
but yet they still leave me here with no help
as i lay on this bathroom floor i try to think of a way to save myself
but my thoughts are blocked by the pain that surrounds me
my wrists bleed from where i have sliced them open
my blood pools all around me
i am in too much pain to move
and all i can do is yell
'save me! why won't you save me? ! '
i lay my head back on the linolium floor, and wait for death
but i sense another presence
and as i look up, my vision is blurry
i relieze that i am crying, and i stop so that i may see my visitor
once my tears are dried and gone, i see the other presence
it is a little boy...my little brother
'brother, ' i say as he stares at me with curiosity and sadness
'please.....save me? ' i whisper to my only savior
he still stares, and then opens his mouth and speaks
'i can't save you' he mumbles as tears begin to fill his eyes
'why not? ! 'i yell.furious now
then it blackens out
pain...pain is the only presence
it is the evil in the cave at night
the monster under the young childs bed
it only seeks to scare and torcher
....so why does it seem that it only hurts me?
why is it that this monster leaves everyone else in peace and comes to put me in suffering? !
my only response to anything anymore is my only thought with hope
..... 'save me! '
