Save Nature, Save People, Save The World Poem by Emmanuel Arunee Mwanza

Save Nature, Save People, Save The World

can you hear yourselves talk?
can you?
can you listen to the boastful selves?
can you?
can you?
can you?
and now would you listen to me

o before i speak
do you hear her cry?
do you?
do you?
do you?
do you see her struggles?
do you?
do you?
do you?

but you hear yourselves saying
I am educated
I am a master
I have educated my children
hear yourself say
'I am educated', ]
'we all are educated'
you say we are the masters of other creation
talking of wild life and nature
as we do as we please
creatures with big brains
that's what we are
taking advantage of the others

oh!
educated right?
masters right?
Yes intelligent
very intelligent yet
vision limited
almost vision-less perhaps
but all the same we can argue over this
on this one surely you can argue
because we consider ourselves educated
because we think we know things
but despite the sciences
we can't have total control over everything
our world has failed to be controlled totally
even among ourselves
the big brains
their is little control

but you can alter
we can alter
things
we can change things for the worse
trust me
we are educated but reason so little like the little ones
for riches
for wealth
for greed
we can't see,
we destroy ourselves
by destroying trees
by destroying the wild animals
by the bush fires
by the weapons that we build
by destroying the very lands we live in

but we also destroying mother earth
we make her struggle
struggling to make us survive
as we struggle to survive
we make her cry
but we can't hear her cry
may be if her cries be the melting of the poles
then we would understand how we harmed mother earth
and ourselves because of being short sighted beings
with big brains

save nature, save people, save the world

Yes! We make her cry, but we can't hear her cry. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
