Save The Land; This Day Poem by Solomon Alo

Save The Land; This Day

Save the land; this day

Sat on the wingless
Bird that carried us, from
Many years aback, ravaged.

With Unheard voices,
Grudges and wails,
battered and maimed bodies.

Shattered dreams
And crumbled
Hopes heaped.

In exasperation
And quest for a change,
fearless and ready.

Rising from the dust
Full of rights and wills,
Aflame and unafraid.

March forth
To the polls
PVC armed.

Facing the ballot
With courage and
Confidence.

Print your thumb
Right on the logo
Of our redemption.

Your franchise
Is yours,
Do it intentionally.

Create a brighter
Future for the
Unborn generation.

Heal this land
Save this land
This day; you vote.
