Savior Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Savior

I thought about a problem.
Then I obsessed.
My mind went into overdrive.
And I got depressed.

It’s like it’s infected.
That part of my brain.
The lies, not reality.
That drove me insane.

I was born this way.
And most of us were.
I wondered about Jesus.
But never was sure.

Then one day I found Him.
From the bottom of my life.
He removed all my anger.
And removed all my strife.

He showed me a way.
I knew not before.
It was when I did knock.
That He opened the door.

I felt so not worthy.
He assured me I am.
For my sins have been cleansed.
By the blood of the lamb.

It was He who became.
All the bad things I’ve done.
And all the things that I’ll do.
I was saved by The Son.

So I thank you my Jesus.
For the price that you paid
And my ways of the old.
At the cross they’ve been laid.
