Savior - Poem by AnnaKae Roberts

I turn the music higher
Each decibel clicking loudly
For the world to hear
But silent to them
Are the beats and the lyrics
Every one a treasured gift
That blocks out the world
And the white noise of life
Transporting me away from
Wherever I don't want to be.
I live each story
Savoring each word
And feel for once
Like I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
