Saying goodbye

I just didn't realise it was our final walk together
I just didn't see your shiny coat going grey
I just didn't think it was our last sofa cuddle.
You tried to make me see.
You sat watching me with sad puppy eyes
I just didn't look
The day came so quickly.
The vets called with no hope
Now it's just memories of your unconditional love.
Your everywhere and no where but shadows in my mind
You're running free now, dog spirits in the sky.

Goodbye, furry friend. Miss you so much.
