Scar's Don'T Bleed Poem by Josh McDonald

Scar's Don'T Bleed

You said it was inevitable we'd split
You said it was inevitable that I would be hurt
But the Truth is...
Scars Don't Bleed

I have grown impervious to your insensitive words
You use the exact same words every time
And they Don't hurt
All they ever do is thicken The Scar

I know I said I would hold onto forever
But my grip slipped
You fell from my grasp
All you have to do is reach for my hand
Its close enough

You Don't understand the least bit
You Don't understand that I will be the best you could ever have

This has happened before
And deep down I want it to happen again

Dear God the pains hurt
But at least there is pain
This pain, although, is oddly fascinating
It makes me want to follow the rules
Not of the system, but of Him
The One crowned with jewels that I could never buy

I believe he has answered
I'm starting to digress
No more do I think of your words
My memory of you is now of my wondrous time with you

I don't feel wonderful
Just apathetic
Damn this Scar
It is Bleeding.
