Thought I one day what are you scared of
Was I scared of the dark
Or afraid someone would leave me and go
Afraid of the shadows, the corners, of the unseen
Or was I just lacking self esteem
Maybe I thought monsters hid under my bed
Or it was just all in my head
What if I was scared of mirrors
Would I be unbothered if everyone saw clearer
Of who I am under my skin
Or would they shame me for my within
What if I feared taking more that I can chew
Always trying something new
Or was I scared of the mundane
Living everyday to sustain
Was I scared no one would like me
If I didn't have a face just as pretty
Maybe I thought I wouldn't find none
May it be money or someone to share my thoughts
All the while thinking my parents were right
I was wrong to choose this flight
Is that what I am scared of?
How can I truthful choose
When my mind is unfaithful
But I am scared of one thing
And that is to remain thinking
