I remember that one Christmas night when you told me you would never leave, told me as an angel watched over that I had nothing to fear.
Now I can't explain and you always get angry,
We both hide our pain and it's too late to change it
I will never forget how it felt the next morning
Ran down the stairs and my heart was ripped open.
Through brilliant sunlight come unfeeling storms
White winds they whip me and rake at my bones.
Now I walk with a long look of desperation
My face is covered with marks of imitation.
Years later times tide it still binds me but you're just a flickering flame off in the distance.
