I see my scars
Up and down my arms
my legs,
my stomach,
every part of me I hate.
I see them and I'm ashamed
of all my pain.
What I hide from the world
My secrets,
my scars,
my pain,
my shame,
all the reasons I take all the blame.
And they were my fault
I did it to myself
I held the blade
not someone else.
Yet sometimes
I still blame them
Because they were the reason
I was grief stem.
So maybe it was my fault
Maybe it was theirs
Maybe a combination
of all of the stares
But all I really know
is that I am so scared.
