Scream In The Dark - Poem by James Grengs

Nightmare-
Me, alone, eternity.
Darkness, like that which
Haunts my waking hours,
Deep in my soul,
Seeps into my mind, and leaves me blind.

Waking, I find that reality,
Truth,
Is worse than any nightmare.

I fear,
I worry,
I scream.

My pain.
I cannot understand why
I hurt,
But I know that I do.

I awake, midnight-
I scream.
