Scream To Lullaby Poem by Ricardo Flores

I feel nothing but sorrow within.
It is tearing me apart,
i hear sudden screams in the distance.
Running towards the sounds... i feel it again,
it is nothing but an illusion in my head.
The pain keeps hitting me where it hurts most.
A blinding light appears within my sight at the distance.
As i open my eyes, i see you afar from me.
Distant screams turn into lullaby's.
I try and reach for you,
but the pain provokes me.
My body turns pale from sorrow within.
I realize i am longer no more.
Your appearance fades away as the light turned to darkness.
I realize i no longer exist.
I scream into a lullaby to see you once more.
