Walking From Love Poem by Ricardo Flores

Walking From Love

Images were the only thing we knew from each other,
as if two shadows passing by at an exact moment,
but was not forgettable.

Looking into the past we had realized it,
speaking was the only way to understand it.

A single word from her awoke many feelings,
as if we knew each other for centuries.

Words turned into an undeceiving friendship that opened our hearts,
it made me realize that the feeling was too intense.

Passing time without her struck me like bullets,
her sight was what brought me back to life.

I saw love in her eyes,
which turn bright as the sun with unspeakable emotion.

The day i would last see her came with unbelievable haste.

As i looked into her closed eyes i saw nothing,
my heart turned to darkness.

At that moment,
i had realized it was not possible to love her.

I held her hand,
but it was time to let go.

As i walked away,
I looked back for the last time hoping to see her awake,
but their was no way i could bring her back....
