Screaming To Be Free Poem by Tiffany R Cooper

Screaming To Be Free

Inside I’m screaming to be free.

It feels like I’m suffocating in my own skin, but nobody can tell by looking at my shell.

As I gaze in the mirror I wonder how they can’t see that my flame is slowly extinguishing itself.
