Screams In Crimson Red Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Screams In Crimson Red

guards enter my cell
smash my head against the wall
try to break my skull

children beaten senselessly
justice o' her majesty

yes, I know this well
a bloodied and battered hell
scream to no avail

what once was a white washed room
now I paint in red crimson

fay this flesh I bled
lying in a pool o' blood
thinking I was dead

for this I can thank my mum
who rules fay the great London

'you've been found guilty
the crown is sentencing thee
accept gratefully'

to this I will agree not
even when my body rots

beat me if you will
torture imprison or kill
but remember this

I do forever resist
the tyranny in our midst
