It haunts me
It haunts me in the night
It haunts me in the day
It haunts me every time I have to much space in my mind
I still see him
every day
and I try to play it cool
I try to let it slide
but I can't
I relive it every time I look into his eyes
I feel the pain
I see those tears
I hear those screams...
Those painful screams of mine
The pleading and begging for it to just stop
Why oh WHY didn't he stop?
I thought we were friends
I thought he cared
I never thought he could hurt me like that
And the saddest part about it is
I thought it was my fault that it hurt
I thought there's something wrong with me
but it was never my fault
It was always his
and I'll never forgive him
Cause now I have to live with it
With that constant fear
That rotten part of my soul
and these everlasting memories lingering in my mind
always there to consume me
I'm broken... now even more than before...
