As the seconds go by
tic-tock, tick-tock

The sea of silence grows
thoughts of uncertainty arises
A storm rages in the mind
leaving it clouded and shattered

conscience, a lone soldier
lost in a battlefield

Heart, a dying flower
desperately trying to bloom

Body, a worn out tool
with no purpose to act upon

Sigh! the seconds still go by
tic-tock, tick-tock

The sea of silence now
infinite!

Yet, here i stand
grasping onto hope
for a better tomorrow
