It was the first time I ever saw the sea
Back when I moved in, oh how time passes
Right outside my window, sat my sea
Listening in as my conversation passes
During windy nights, I was scared for my precious sea
Defenseless against the tide, it kept granting passes
The cruel moon shone on my red sea
Its colors shift relentlessly as the moon's phase passes
I often ponder upon my sea
Flowing beneath the bridge and its passes
I'm uneasy around the sea
But after taking in all its glory, the dread passes
It usually ignores my waves, this sea
My grandma used to say, a sea's stubbornness is temporary; it usually passes
My heart aches for it in winter, my poor sea
At least, it won't be frozen for long, winter comes and passes
It is cold nonetheless, the horrid wind from the sea
My window yelps, granting the freezing air passes
Tonight is the last night I'll ever see the sea
I have to move out, oh how time passes
Graduation is not easy for the sea
Neither for me, but like all things negative, it passes
