Search Engine Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

Search Engine

Search -
a word, an event, a face.

How many are ever needed?
Still we search and search
until we're lost inside the search
and begin again.

Browsing boredom,
eyes dry, mind tired,
fatigued, frustrated -
still scrolling.

A mechanism
to keep us busy.

Search relentlessly.
Get lost repeatedly -
head, heart, all of it -
then reset.

Search is not discovery.
It's a loop,
polished and endless,
manufacturing boredom
without an end.
