Searching Poem by Michelle Parsons

Searching

Frozen and anxious,
All alone,
I’m searching for something,
That’s still left unknown,
Hour by hour,
And day by day,
It seems never ending,
And that’s how it shall stay,
Until one single day,
And only one time,
My search for happiness,
I trust will resign,
Freedom and joy,
Peaceful and serene,
I shall be happy once more,
How much that would mean,
But will I ever be happy,
With what I may find,
Or will I unearth blemishes,
No matter how kind?
With out complication,
Or disturbance and mess,
I seem not able,
To relax and rest,
I crave happiness,
As a babe does its mother,
Needing someone,
Not like another,
A man may be perfect
And perfect he may be,
But can any man,
Be perfect for me?
