I’m searching for answers,
Wanting to know.
A family forgotten,
So long ago.
The Indian heritage
Of my lost mom and dad.
I’d like to know about them
And the lives that they had.
Did they love music, poetry
And art like I do?
Did they love camping and animals,
I haven’t a clue.
What did they look like?
Did they look like me?
I’d love to see their picture,
Just so I could see.
I’m still searching for answers
Wanting to know
About my family
From so long ago.
