Searching For One's True Self Poem by ashok jadhav

Searching For One's True Self

I walk through corridors of shifting light,
Where echoes of my past both call and fade;
Each step reveals a fragment, wrong or right,
A piece of self by doubt or hope conveyed.
The faces I have worn like borrowed skin
Lie heavy on the path I've yet to find;
Within their weight, a voice begins to spin,
A thread of truth that gently frees the mind.
I pause beside the rivers, still and clear,
Reflecting all I am and all I've been;
The ripples whisper what I long to hear,
A quiet map to journey deep within.
Perhaps the self I seek has always known—
It waits in shadow, ready to be shown.
