Our love was spring when first our eyes were new,
A sudden bloom beneath a hopeful sky;
Each glance a bud the heart had never knew,
Each word a breeze that taught the soul to fly.
Then summer came with passion fierce and bright,
Long days of warmth where doubts had no retreat;
We burned like suns in shared and fearless light,
Till joy itself grew heavy, rich, and sweet.
Autumn arrived with truths we could not flee,
A gentler fire, mature, both calm and wise;
At last, soft winter taught us how to be—
To love in trust where quiet warmth applies.
Thus love, like seasons, turns yet still remains,
Renewed through change, made strong by joys and pains.
