Second Chance Poem by james d nall,jr

Second Chance

Rating: 4.2

I lost my one true love, long, long ago
For this, I suffered more than you can know
Her indiscretion, I could not overlook
Since then I've felt like an empty book
Just two covers, front and back
The pages are there, but, words, they lack
A hollow shell is what I've become
Liking some women, loving none
This fate that I've described here
Is what you'll endure, out of fear
How I wish, A second chance, I'd given
Possibly then, life, would be worth living
