Seduction Of Chair (Part-Ix)(Satire) Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Seduction Of Chair (Part-Ix)(Satire)

The old king Demon
At the verge of dotage
Wanted Prince Brio
To shoulder his
Responsibility
He got his son trained
Under the guidance
Of the chief, Kushla
A Scholar of Chanakya Niti
And Kautilya Arthashastra
Trained Prince's body
Brain, mind and soul
As a whole
Also taught the use of arms
And the art of administration
The world religions
And the principles of
The State policies
And the ten
Basic fundamentals
Of humanity based on Vedas.

When Raj guru as his tutor
Thought proper-
And perfected him
In every way
Out rightly advised
The king to retire
And a favorable
Opinion first to create
And then to abdicate
In favour of his son
Prince Brio.

Notorious Demon
In a fit of excitement
Blindly acted upon chief's advice
And celebrated the coronation
At the world wide level-
With a great pump and show.

The day was not too far away
When Demon came to a grief
After a sudden shock-
And realized the blunder.

As accused by his own son Brio
Of highest offence of treachery
That Demon proved
Untrue to his salt
And dead to all senses
Of shame-
Though the accusation
Almost based upon hearsay feed.
Demon who could avert death
Found he to be helpless-
Before the domestic cruelties
Of his own son, Brio.

Be it all with unique
Taste for music and dance
With an aesthetic sense and Taste
For love of life and beauties
The Demon had no option-
Now, gone too old and frail
In full of agony-
Like a beggar used to wander about
In the local streets begging rags
And a little water and food to eat

Unmoved, yet-
By the pathos
Of his father-
Prince Brio
The only son
Turned Demon out
Of the Estate
To dwell on the sands
Under the safe
Protection of sky.
Thus, ordered his exile
Demon the old King
Abruptly bursts
Into tears
In a fit fear.

The clouds of
Melancholy
Were uncommon
And uncommon
Were thus
The hunger
And thirst,
The life
And death
The moon
And stars,
The sky
And earth
The darkness
And light,
The day
And night
And the sun,
Air and water
All there-
But, uncommon.

Foolish!
Thou, this world
Foolish thouart!
Whom, ye adore
Thou fear of him
Whom, ye fear
Thou adore him
O' fool!
Thou'st fear
The mirror
Thy own image
Seems to be
Thy killer-
And thou art
The butcher of
Thy own flesh.

Inadequately
Thus-
Demon ventilates
His grief and needs
Compassion deep
In distress
In a state
Of utter misfortunes
Irretrievably ruined
In search of friends
Realized the need
There being
No one to respond
But, animals
Plants and trees
Wild and inanimate
All equally shared
His grief.

Like the hot
Flaming desert
Of Arabian Region-
In the Thar Desert of India
Lying unconscious
On the shores of sands
Demon had to spend
The remaining
Days of his life
God knows-
What the next
Happened to Demon.
