See You Poem by NAME SURNAME

See You

Forlornly was I sitting in trance.
Sudden, footfall crescendoed. Tinkling followed.
Solemn figure made an entrance
- My dear father came back home.
Not pausing for a ‘good afternoon',
He broke into an all-out sprint
Straight into computer room,
Tugged at luggage with silver sheen.
Laid prone and unzipped, luggage disclosed
This amalgam of fabric:
Undergarment, towel,
Shirts, pyjamas, jackets.
He then fetched a handful of clothes,
Driving brimful case to extreme.
Pity, it was coerced to be closed
On verge of bursting at the seams.
He withdrew the excess he carried here,
Unslaked of what was left of quantity.
The more, the merrier
But truly for what need?
‘fore I got to voice my query,
On a pair of cow skin boots,
He had departed with hurry.
A faint voice passed on me, "See you."
