Seeing The Darkness Poem by Drew Fisher

Seeing The Darkness

Those who say that storms bring gloominess
Have never truly felt what the storm can bring
For when I feel the thunder I feel brilliance
And when the waters fall it’s like my pain is washed away

Those who say night holds evil
Have never truly seen what night can show
For when I see the moon I see innocence
When I see the darkness I see the truth that’s hidden

For how can we tell what the darkness holds
When we choose to surround ourselves in light?
