Self Reflecting Poem by Tevin Giles

Self Reflecting

Rating: 5.0

I Am,

Self Reflecting

Me, unseen, leaping into the arms of doubt, my faith going south.

Cornered by yesterday, decisions abandoning me…

Regressing, I Am.

Soul ties snapped, I no longer tethered to the ground

Pray aloud.

My face against this wall,

Do I turn or fall?

God, Stall.

Alone, I Am.

I freak, retching.

Turning, new footing,

I seek.

Slowly, moving…

Slowly, shedding grief…

Slowly, hoping…

I find peace, victory.

Regressing and Alone,

Reflecting on this flawed being…

I Am,

Self Reflecting.
