Selling Beads On First Friday Poem by Kyle Schlicher

Selling Beads On First Friday

rumpled clothing
belies elegance
once so very undeniable.

wrinkled face now
where beauty resided
yes, many years ago.

now, quietly she toils
pushing merchandise
upon unsympathetic customers.

no excuses forthcoming
for this is life now
as she knows it.

Many years ago with the muse of life. Nice work.
