Semako Poem by Hontonnu Dominic

Semako

He left with his memories for us to linger on with it
Yet we cant complain but cherish every moment
Ah! Death has made him our senior
With nothing that can be done about
What a handsome boy with a brighter future
And all he does was to live half it age
Yet we cant complain but cherish every moment
They says time fly
And wound get heal between times
But ours
Time stood still
And the wound keep getting deeper
This scare is going to be on our face
For the rest of our life
You’ve come; I guess you saw
But what more can I say?
That we love you and God love you best?
That we care but God want you more?
Why will he give us what will not last?
Why will you come
And live your lifelike a tree
Planted by the river side yet still die!
I hope you fine peace
In between time over there
We miss you but God want you more…
