Senses Poem by Jennifer Margaret Paul

Senses

Look at the sign
Can you not read it?
Do you understand,
Interpret
Believe?

Breathe in the morning dew
Can you not smell it?
Do you draw in,
Enjoy,
Release?

Bite into the ripened cherry
Can you not taste it?
Do you savor,
Consume,
Submit?

Touch a friend's Cheek
Can you not sense it?
Do you feel,
Surrender
Release?

Listen to a lover's sigh
Can you not hear it?
Do you respond,
Embrace,
Dream?
