Sentimentalist, Haiku Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Sentimentalist, Haiku

pirate crow's nest
a top of an old oak tree
big as a galleon

*
sentimentalist
sitting on oak boughs in spring
watching daffodils

*
snapdragons
a glowing yellow searchlight
on a crumbling wall

*
indescribable
your love after a storm
intense rainbow

*
indescribable
your love after a storm
reversed rainbow

*
indescribable
your love after a storm
full-circle rainbow

*
spiritual path
read my palm and take my hand
fate guides us both

*
infinite number
of wedding ring fingers
and yet I chose you

*
misfortune can be
joyous at times—sailing on
the trunk of a tree

*
misfortune can be
joyous at times—sailing
oak tree trunks

*
abandoned ship
becomes an island of trees
oak treasure chest

*
luminous cloud
grows into a forest tree
roots and canopy
