Serenity Poem by William R. Rooney

Serenity

Rating: 4.5

One day I heard some music play
So soft and so serene
The day was calm, the sky was bright
A babbling brook so clean

And as I stood beneath that dome
Of God's own heavenly blue
I knew that through all turmoil
I cloud feel a sense so true

A soothing of the mind and heart
A quiet time so still
A moment when all pressure stops
As pleasing as a daffodil

With lovely notes the air is filled
They touch the soul of me
And in their way they calmly say
Enjoy this gift - serenity.
