Set Aside The Past



I wish you’d been here with me
This morning when I awoke
The sun came up behind the bluff
Such peaceful feelings it evoked.

A fresh and new today
With yesterday now gone
Tomorrow holds such promise...
It makes me feel so strong.

So hold each day with tenderness
And treat it as your last
If today is bright with hopefulness
You can set aside the past.
