Setting Sail Poem by Asad Y.R.

Setting Sail

Onward across the horizon,
Towards the sun your future lies in.
In the darkest day, leave your cries in.
Edge of the ocean, where your teardrop dries in.

Moonlit reflection, a heavenly glow flies in.
Letting go of your lows and taking all of your highs in.
The pillow in your old house you soaked your eyes in.
Your best-friend’s house where you spent some nights in.
Home wasn’t always home, when there were fights in.
Seemed darker than the night out, even with the lighting.
The closet in your bedroom you hid all your frights in.

At last you leave it all and set sail on a new boat to discover a new life in.
Hope you find the bottle somewhere in the ocean which I wrote my goodbyes in.
