Seven Stars Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Seven Stars

Rating: 5.0

Elegant as a floating cloud
Her breath tastes of sugar
Her eyes have stolen the stars
Porcelain skin that burns
Your common own
Still you would crave, yearn
To grasp her cottony wrists
Let the heavens frown
Upon the stolen jewels
That is her entirety
Her voice echoes
Through a hurtful past
And into the future
That connived you from
The ephemeral wishes
Seven stars are all it took
For her to shine like the sun
Seven stars are all it took
For her to bring me to life
