Sex Poem by Martin Byrne

Sex

Some pull between the both of us
Natural instincts will not go undenied
We’ll rub our shoulders close
Closer than close
Kiss on the dark side of the moon
(No one can see us there)
And be more than bricks in the wall
It can’t be helped really
Everything is being pulled towards everything
And we’re no exception
We’re drawn in, down, around
Circling closer
Spiraling in
Shoulders rubbing
Hearts heating
Butterflies in full flight

Skipping ahead with our thoughts
Soft rustle of bed sheets
Sliding Limbs
Sweat trickling
Uninhibited vocal chords
I get to keep a woman warm
Finding an eternity in a moment
A soft sigh with a glance at our
glazed over eyes
And bitter sweet embraces

Skipping back to our reality
We lock our pinkies together
It’s a good start for us
The butterflies are being fed
The want for soft skin
Is being satiated
