Shades Poem by shonu Haq

Shades

The rolling drum beats,
The thundering skies,
The shaking grounds,
Herald me.....
I am Shakti,
Standing under the heavens,
For the litmus test.
Savages surround me,
Curses rebound,
In the pits of hell,
Reincarnated as Persephone,
I await the light.
I am Lakshmi,
Breaking the doom,
Shall I not have the light?
A caged bird forever,
Shall I not have freedom?
Battered and bruised,
And yet I strive.
I am Kali,
Vengeance on those, who
Plunder my soul.
Awakening by the chaos of humanity,
A Mother...
A Daughter...
A Sister...
A Wife...
A Woman...
Rising from the flames of blood,
I scream, I shout,
Scarred body, crippled mind, torn heart,
I rise stronger,
I stand taller.
I am Parvati,
Searching for atonement,
The one made from the ribs,
Hear one, hear all,
Ravages of time has been witness,
Crush me...
And rivers of crimson will flow.
I complete the world,
Coz I am the universe,
I am me, I am you,
I am a woman,
Fearless, Proud,
A Goddess to behold.
Reign with me
Adam’s descendents,
I am Yours.
