Shaken Poem by J.D. Crockett

Shaken

The ground jumps
and buildings fall
but still I stand fast.
Shaking so hard
no one can stand
but I'll be here last.

Roofs cave in
walls begin to crumble
foundations already breakin'.
You may wonder
how I still stand
its cause I was already shakin'.

You made me weak
with jelly for knees
and then shook my world
Never thought that I
could be so devestated
by just a simple girl.

As this world crumbles
falling apart around me
the bad choices we're makin'.
I know I'll still be up
standing there at the end
cause I was already shaken.
