Shall I Ask You Poem by Jerry Ukaigwe

Shall I Ask You

Nwaezegbu did you see my father?
Did you find him across the clouds?
What did he say to you when you arrived?
Was he robed in smile or beads of frown?
Nwaezegbu tell me for I want to know.
Nwaezegbu tell him the world has changed
That we now sleep with nose on mask
Tell him I still wear his musk
And our love for him is still unchanged.
Tell him, Nwaezegbu nnem, tell him!
Tell him finally we found the path.
