Shape Up Poem by somebody else

Shape Up

Your committment does He always test,
so you must ensure, always to do your best.
For He shall fulfill, every promise He gave,
even forsaking the souls, that misbehave.
Therefore wise are they, that have turned,
but woe to the ones, that have not learned.
Because no excuse, will your ignorance be,
for you alone, chose not to see.
His word for ages, has been told aloud,
not in secret, but to the crowd.
And paid attention, have you not,
so what chance, do you think you've got.
For truth is not, what you invent it to be,
but every single word, He has spoken to thee.
So shape up, and use your mind and ears,
for indeed, very quickly His promise nears.

You should be reading Alf Hutchison, I think, same sentence construction. Kind regards, Margaret.
