Carpe Diem Poem: Shared Moments
Time passes, yet it lingers still
Where laughter meets another's breath;
A borrowed glance, a joined-in smile
Outlives the ticking thoughts of death.
What we possess will fade to dust,
But moments shared refuse to die;
They root themselves in memory's soil
Where even lost hours learn to stay.
So sit with me before the light
Slips quietly beyond this day;
Let words be warm, let silence speak,
Let "later" gently fall away.
For life is brief, but briefly shared
It gathers meaning, deep and true;
Seize now the time we hold as one—
The moment lives because of you.
