Shattered Earth Poem by George otto Becker

Shattered Earth

We were cast into the never
With all of our lives we were tethered
A place with no time
Darkness took us altogether
We faded so deep
Into oblivion our souls did weep
With our vision gone our eyes did tear
Our hopes and dreams all did disappear
The loves we had so long and gone
And the dreams we had when we sang our song
Falling ever so fast
We put our planet last
Now it is gone forever
With our trash and our wars so clever
Now our bodies slowly float into the never
