Shattered Echoes Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Shattered Echoes

In a world of fragile whispers, she stood,
A porcelain doll in a hall of wood,
Her heart, a music box, pure and sweet,
Dancing to a tune with a rhythmic beat.

He came like a storm, wild and free,
A boy with eyes that held the sea,
Promises woven in the breeze,
Whispered softly through the trees.

She loved with a heart unshielded,
Dreams to him she freely yielded,
But his touch, though warm, concealed
A cold intent that fate revealed.

With words like knives and smiles that lied,
He cut her deep and broke her pride,
Her trust, once whole, now shattered glass,
Fragments of the love that could not last.

She felt herself, like porcelain, crack,
A delicate beauty, turned to black,
Her music heart ripped from her chest,
Left her silent, void, and distressed.

Scattered pieces, caught in the wind,
A broken soul, too hard to mend,
Like glass that fell from heights above,
Or the shattered door from Monster's love.

She wandered lost, in shadows cast,
Haunted by the echo of the past,
Believing she could never be,
Whole again, not wild, nor free.

Yet in the quiet, a whisper found,
A voice that lifted from the ground,
'You are more than broken dreams,
More than tears and silent screams.'

For in the shards of her broken heart,
Lay the strength for a brand new start,
A phoenix rising from the flame,
A soul reborn, though never the same.
