Shattered Wineglass* Poem by Ulysses Cabinatan

Shattered Wineglass*

Is of what use is a shattered wineglass
but be sweep
And put in a trash bin
Or else it will prick a foot
Of someone who walks on it

Is of what use then
Are broken promises
But like a shattered wine glass
just empty words,
It cannot hold a substance
Like the shattered wineglass

Ruined confidence
Betrayed trust
Honesty and reliability shattered with it
Like the broken wineglass
