She - Poem by AlissaMarie Unknown

She holds my hand
as we walk amongst
the sand. I can feel
her warmth trying to
fill the now emptiness
buried within me.

She craves my attention
I'm doing the best I can,
yet she knows I'm not
the same and it hurts
her to see me in pain.

She is my light, the
remainder of my humanity
loosing her would be the
complete death of me.

She keeps me going
I will do what I can
to give her everything
she needs even if it
means leaving behind
all out precious memories.

She and I will be complete
once again just not the way
it should have been. But one
day baby you'll see mommy
will be whom she once used
to be.

(Dedicated to Jade)
