She Poem by Ella Levin

She

With lips as red as these
Her socks up to her knees
She feels the summer breeze
Enlightened and at ease

With wishing what she may
She dreamt another day
Entangled, raged with guilt
She watched the flowers wilt

For sure she'd feel the sand
Through her shameful hand
Life and love drives her insane
Because she'd never be the same
