She And Me Poem by Dawood Siddiqui

She And Me

Rating: 5.0

Go climb the fence and swim
Swim across the stars to the nearest dream
Reach out to your inner self
cleanse the perception clean
I wanted to be with someone
But it didn’t work out
Looks like she didn’t want us to be one
Doesn’t matter I climbed the fence
I touched the stars and had fun
I made peace with my demons, hence
I became one my thought
with my frailties I fought
I am best suited to myself,
I realized this and she is not
She is a good girl,
but it won’t be worth the trouble
When I opened up myself to her
I found her as uninteresting as fur
Let’s move on and rekindle the flame
Lets choose some other day to play the game
