She Is Poem by Alyssa Walter

She Is

The curve of an eyelash
As she blinks away tears

She is
The chime of a laugh
As she feigns happiness

She is
The downturned corners of her mouth
As she is angry

She is
The furrow of a brow
As she is confused

She is
The biting of a lip
As she pretends not to hear me

She is
Insecure
Scared
Touchy
Afraid

But

She is mine.
