She Is Like - Poem by Analissa Range

She is like a shadow
A dark and malevolent thing
Hidding behind the innocent
in the bright light of day

She is like a sword
The bloody protector of loved ones
Just an arms reach away
Always ready for a fight

She is like a Diamond
Shaped to the needs of others
A tough and enduring thing
A rare gem in a pile of coal
